Tweetbot for Twitter App Reviews

Needs a dark theme!

I like it, and have started using it instead of Tweetdeck (which is a complete and total POS, unfortunately).. but Tweetbot desperately needs a Dark Theme! All this white is blinding me! :)

Best twitter app around

If you use OSX and want a native twitter app this is the one, just buy it lol

Seems To Be Okay Now

Launch crash was apparently an App Store problem. Other of my ‘menu bar’ apps had stopped loading, as well. Tweetbot now launches fine.

TweetMarker Doesn’t Work

Although TweetMarker is a feature that is offered by this app, it never works. Especially if you have multiple accounts. All this hype and this basic feature doesn’t work. Weak.

The Best Twitter Client!

Awesome sync capability between my Macs, iPad and iPhone. Tweetbot has consistently been the most useful Twitter client I’ve used, and though the devs may take a bit to implement features, they do get it done and just helps keep this app as the top Twitter client.

Best possible Twitter experience

Tweetbot is more than half the reason I still love using Twitter.

Great but wish notifs sync

This app is great and is hands-down the best Twitter client I’ve ever used on both iOS and Mac. The streaming feature is perfect, I don’t ever have to “pull to refresh” when I’m on Wi-Fi, and new tweets show up instantaneously. That said, I wish the notifications sync across device. I have an iPhone and a Mac, but if I get a mention on the phone and read it (or even replied to it), and I go back to my Mac a few HOURS after, the notification would still show up on the Mac client. Basically, the menu bar icon lights up as blue and says I have 1 unread mention. This app is SO close to perfection, I wish the devs can polish this and make it the truly great app that I think it can be.

Amazing!

Once you start using this app for twitter, you won’t use anything else. It offers all the features twitter has in a very orgaznized, user-friendly fashion. Definitely worth a few bucks.

Nice icon, at least

Having purchased both the iOS & OS X versions of this app, oh, about 18 months ago, I always loved how seamlessly Tweetbot worked. Since that time, the OS X app has gone largely ignored, and now on Yosemite, the app is beyond long in the tooth. Scrolling lag, intermittent crashes, overall system unresponsiveness when Tweetbot is open, etc. This once great app has tumbled hard, going the way of a multitude of other third party developed apps over the years. Still, it has the best (in my opinion) app icon of anything offered via the App Store. Sadly, that’s about the only saving grace. I hope v.2.0 is not mere vaporware, and if it isn’t released soon, I’ll be moving on to something else, just assuming Tweetbot has been tossed aside by the devs. UPDATE 3/31/2016: Now on El Capitan 10.11.4, syncing between my MacBook Pro & iPhone 6 via iCloud only works on the iPhone side of things. On my MBP, this app can’t even remember the last tweet I view. Pretty much every time I shut down Tweetbot on my MBP and the relaunch it, it’ll show upwards of 24 hours worth of tweet unread, even if I had scrolled all the way to the top to view all tweets prior to shutting down. It’s STUPID that such a basic function doesn’t work. Lowering my rating from 2 stars to 1 star.

Need further development

I wish this app had poll feature as in twitter official website.

Love Tweetbot

I was having an issue with iCloud syncing between macOS and iOS so I reached out to the devs. Two emails and the issue was resolved. Thanks!

Hands down the BEST Twitter client.

Hands down the BEST Twitter client there is for Mac OS X. Twitter (the Company) could learn a thing or two about how to write an app that its users would love.

pin timeline to top when at top not working

I’m using Tweetbot on a 2015 Mac Mini running El Capitan. My favorite feature of Tweetbot is the pin timeline, but it doesn’t work anymore. The tweets accumulate and a black counter keeps track of how many tweets are not streaming. I have to use the spacebar to see new tweets. I’ve tried re-installing, deleting cache - nothing seems to work. Any ideas why this might be happening? Thank you. I’ve contacted support through your website as well.

This app crashes so. much.

I love this app, but I can’t recommend it to anyone. I have a Macbook Pro with Retina rocking a 1TB hard drive, and this app literally crashes on my MBP at least five times a day, and it’s been doing this for over a year. I check for updates regularly on the app store, but it never fixes the issue. On top of that, they don’t have a dark theme, which I would greatly appreciate in the future. This app is a mess. Unfortunately, it’s driven me to use the official twitter app, which isn’t nearly as functional, but at least it doesn’t crash on me every half hour. Save your dollars.
