iam not happy with your service and product policy

This is the second time Tapbots broke the software. First it disapears completly from App Store so i cant redownload it. Now Version 1.6.2 is shredded and unusable. It just start and crash. The reply from Service is: Sorry not our problem its Apples fault, please Update to OSX 10.10, we cant fix it" The Reply from Apple is: "We changed nothing, its Tapbots fault. They disconnected Tweetbot from the Servers" Even if your Software is good but your Service and Policy is not working for me. i need to buy and pay for software i can trust on.

Good, but not perfect

Well, it may be worth the price for somebody making more use of it... however, I was curious, and I have to admit it can be useful to view several timelines at once. But the "activity" button doesnt show me recent answers or favorited tweets of mine... I cant get this tab to update to the latest activities. For the amount I paid Id expect a smooth app without such a bug.

SplitScreen has few bugs.

Little buggy software on my rMacbookPro 13 / El Capitan. Window managment bugs I suppose. Better ram managment than standart twitter client. Sync with ur account fast and realiable.

Obviously the best. But $20? Come on!

Been using this since the beta and tested every iteration. The only reason Im buying it now is cause Im hooked. Obviously its the best Twitter app out there but $20! Come on! Mark and Paul, you guys cant be serious! You shouldve at least offered a discount code for your die hard beta testers. Even $9.99 or $14.99 wouldve been way more reasonable. Youre just guaging us at this point because you know well pay. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I took this one as a retina enabled twitter client, but..

It completely changed my perception of Twitter usage. This app is, all in all, one of the best software purchases Ive done through the Mac App Store.

Unfortunate

I have all of the software available by Tapbots. However, with Tweetbot for Mac Im definitely not satisfied. Although I have tested the alpha and did not like it, I still wanted to support Tapbots and purchase the product all the while hoping to like it. The experience on the Mac and the iPhone is different. Just as an example, while scrolling the tweets, the iPhone version conveniently hides the options you may choose to do with them. They are ALWAYS present on the Mac version; scrolling is terrible for me with all tweets showing up the dark "reply, retweet, .." options available. I was hoping to fine a way to hide them but I was not successful. Why is there no "drawer" as there is for the iPhone version? Same goes for the sidebar that contains the timeline, mentions, etc. icons. Why can I not hide the sidebar? I do not need it while reading the tweets and if I like I can use the keyboard shortcuts to switch to any other view. Another criticism is for the layout and the look and feel. I understand that these elements are nice on the iPhone and maybe on the iPad, however, I was hoping for a little different experience. Over-using the design is making it feel old in my opinion, especially when there are no themes or too many visual custimizations available to the client. Twitterrific nails the visuals with minimal design and custom themes (which apparently can be customized even further through little hacks). I hope there is more coming in terms of design rather than functionality or else the software that is being developed by Tapbots is becoming too similar in experience and look. Oh and by the way $20 is way too much. I hope you consider discounts or I am afraid it will be too "elite".

THE Twitter client.

Ive using Tweetbot on iPhone and iPad ever since they came out. I was a bit hesitant to purchase the Mac version mainly because I rarely use Twitter on my Mac. But oh boy am I glad I changed my mind. The Mac version is as full-featured as it can be. Do not listen to anyone who tells you that 20$ is to high a price. Like they say, you get what you pay for and in this case you get a LOT. Sure there are lots of 0.99$ of free clients out there but none of them reach Tweetbots level of refinement. Of course if all you do with Twitter is write a tweet here and there then this client may not be the one you need. But if Twitter is you favorite network and you swear by it then by all means drop the 20$ and you will most certainly not regret it!

I LOVE YOU!

The best twitter client ever! I got it on mac, iPad, and iPhone!! GET IT.

Best Twitter client!

I have Tweetbot on my iPhone & iPad. Was hesitant on Tweetbot for Mac because of the price, but it is totally worth it!! Blows Twitter for Mac out of the water!

Just one thing

It would be perfect if you could make it so that it doesnt appear in the dock, only in the menubar.

Update

The software used to work great, but now randomly the Tweet button no longer works. Only keyboard commands work for tweeting, closing the New Tweet windows and closing the image popup. Also at times I cant switch from my timeline to my lists. Tapbot support seems to be non existent. update: Tapbot came through, one of my SIMBL bundles was causing the issue. Removing the bundle, and restarting the app has fixed the issues.

Icon in cmd-tab switcher is 1x

But Im not even going to see that thanks for my opt-a global hotkey, which is most excellent. So its still 5 stars all the way but thought Id raise the bug. Update: Seeing the same thing with Chrome, so maybe its an OS thing? Weird. Anyway, best twitter client ever. Worth every penny.

Outstanding Twitter Client!

This is absolutely, unequivocally the best Twitter client out there for Mac. Tapbots has accomplished a stunning trifecta with their iPad, iPhone and Mac apps. More adjectives? Smooth, intuitive, logical, easy-to-access, graphically-pleasant, audibly unique… worth every penny!! Dont hesitate… you wont be disappointed. (Glad to have the Retweets back :) )!

Very good, but there can me improvements.

Overall, Im happy with Tweetbot. Its fast and reliable. Its definitely worth the price. Its simply to use. Hopefully in the future, theyll add a feature for scheduled tweets. I had to go back and use Tweetdeck to get my scheduled tweets done. Id also love to see an option of pop-up tweets rather than having to scroll the app for the latest timeline tweets. Tweetbot does a great job with pop-ups for mentions and DMs, so why not customizable pop-ups for your timeline/feed?

meh.

After using this for a month Im not thrilled. Media links arent handled very well. Enter key should send the tweet. Conversation view (to see what prompted a comment from someone you follow) doesnt seem to work well. In general, I just want tweetdeck 0.38 to work - the UI just isnt as good on anything else Ive seen yet they decided to throw it away. For this amount of money there had better be some updates to this soon, definitely not worth the cash at this point of development.

Worth it

You may think $19.99 is a lot for a Twitter client if youre used to iOS prices. However, if you use Twitter constantly like me this client ends up being worth it very quickly.

Great app! Location needs a fix!

I’m really happy with all iOS and Mac versions of tweetbot. Best app for twitter in app store! The default location for my area is always wrong! My default location is Gatineau but I live in Ottawa. I have to change the location manually every tweet... Please fix it’s annoying! I like the new update for cover pictures support. Keep it up guys and Im going to recomand the app for people in my area!

The Best

It doesnt get better than Tweetbot folks. Well worth the money.

Easlly the best

I have tried and dropped five Twitter clients on the Mac, and probably as many on IOS. I found Tweetbot about a year ago and am convinced it (and its ADN version on IOS, Netbot) is simply th best. Tapbot keep improving it with each release, and occasionally the change brings a feature I had not thought about, but am really pleased to have. Worth every penny, and more!

Disapointed

Crashes all the time when I try to add/remove a column.
