Tweetbot for Twitter App Reviews

Love the mute feature

I prefer the new conversation blue line on the official twitter apps/browser page but others features in Tweetbot make it better. It seems to have the full package, pushes etc. One thing I would like to be able to change is the font colour. I dont like the medium grey colour, would rather it was black. Too bad its not a 5 star app for the $20 it costs. Would be 5 star if it wasnt so expensive.

honestly..

amazing twitter client have it both on my phone and my mac and when i get an ipad in the next few months ill have it on that as well for sure, it’s a solid twitter client, the looks of it is sleek and elegant, i’d say it’s well worth the $20

The best way to view Twitter

Some might complain that the price is to high, but I believe that you pay for quality. This is fantastic app and really the only way to view Twitter efficiently.

Scheduling

Fantastic app! One thing that I would love to see in a future update is a schedule feature, so that I can prepare tweets for my social networking business all at once and have them send out at the scheduled times. That would make this by far the best social networking app on the market.

Doesn’t synch the timeline anymore

This was an expensive app and I’m surprised that the timeline doesn’t work anymore and there is no update available to fix it. Works well on ipad and iphone though. They are not bothering to answer my emails. FAIL!

Tweetbot, my Beloved.

Simple, intuitive and well considered.

A lot of money for not enough updates

Developers charge quite a bit of money and don’t update often enough. This app was $20 and has probably seen 3 minor updates since it has been released. Addtionally Tweetbot for iOS hasn’t been updated since the iOS 6 days. I will not invest more money than I already have in TapBot apps. In short they are great apps but not updated enough for the amount of money that you pay for them and then the developer releases a new paid update. Disappointed.

Starting to show it’s age

I’ll address the elephant in the room first…it’s expensive. At $20, it’s by far not the cheapest option to use Twitter on your Mac. But, do you get premium features for that premium price? Tweetbot has everything the official Twitter app has, and more. It’s a much more user-friendly layout, however the old design is seriously starting to show its age. The developers claim that they are working on an update to the design, however they also claim an iPad version of Tweetbot 3 is coming…and have been for a year or so now. Pros: • Most features out of any Twitter app (including the official one) • Beyond easy-to-use • Tweetmarker syncs up your read tweets so you never have to read tweets twice (works great with Tweetbot for iPhone/iPod and/or iPad) • Displays the number of unread tweets • Mute users (hide their tweets without unfollowing them) • Notification Centre compatible • Create a new tweet right from the App Bar Cons: • Expensive ($19.99) • Seriously outdated design • Lack of updates makes users think this is abandonware Conclusion: Yes, it’s expensive, but if you can afford it, or you’re an avid Twitter user, this is the only Twitter app you should use. Period.

More problems

Sure crashes often for a $20 app! Needs @name on the top of the screen to easy see what account it is, other than those its nice. Only 3 starts for now, when problems fixed will update. Has crashed over 50 time in the past 6 hours!!! Did Microsoft make it? UPDATE: the latest version has no improvement to the older while introducing more problems. Downgrade to 1 star.

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money. I love this app for iphone but for Mac it does’t even launch anymore.

Best Twitter App

I challenge you to find another Twitter app as polished and full of character as Tweetbot. You won’t, on any platform. I use this on my iPhone, iPad and my MacBook, and it’s an incredible experience on each device. Awesome shortcuts, smooth scrolling, polished design, and most importantly it literally makes me smile every time I load it. People that complain about it crashing, I don’t understand that, it doesn’t crash for me, maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling. I used it on my old 2011 MBP, and now on my Retina, it’s been insanely great on both. I’m eagerly awaiting the update to bring it in line with the look and feel of Yosemite.

Good client but becoming obsolete

It’s pretty much on par with the official client. Originally people wanted Tweetbot since the official client wasn’t getting updates, though recently they have been pushing updates. Tweetbot is still a great client but I’d recommend new users to just stick with the official desktop client - $20 is a lot to spend.

Beautiful, reliable, useful.

The new Yosemite treatment looks lovely, and the app is still one of the handiest ways to take in as much of Twitter as possible. Perfectly fair price for an app that’ll give you so much of your time back.

God bless

That is all :)

Incredible update

Tweetbot 2.0 is everything I imagined and more. Simply the best Twitter client for Mac available. Well done folks!

Beautiful and powerful

A beautiful Yosemite update to the most powerful Twitter client on OS X. If you are a serious Twitter user, you need this.

Just buy this app for your mac and your iPhone

Sleek, easy to use, encorperates instagram images right into the feed. Best Twitter client out there.

Needs a In-Line video player

Why should I have to go OUT to Twitter to watch a video? I don’t have to do that on the iPhone version, where the hardware is much less powerful. I want to be able to view everything inside Tweetbot. I hope that’s coming, otherwise, I might as well just use the Twitter website. I just assumed that it would have that, as Tweetbot for iPhone does, now I regret buying it, as I’m going to use it for this often. What a waste.

Best Twitter Client for Mac

My favourite Twitter application just got better!! Seriously amazing with a fresh new design, definitely worth every penny it’s worth. My only request would be to have native gif support. If you are a Twitter junkie like me then buying this app is totally worth it and you won’t regret it!

Superb!

Since I wanted to replace my buggy Tweetdeck, I impulsively bought this.. loving it!
